Switch to the soap bar and start on your zero waste journey today!

Updated: Apr 5, 2021

If we reflect on the learnings of 2020 and what COVID-19 has taught us, it placed many aspects of our daily lives (which we took for granted!) under the microscope. Things like sleep, travel, personal care, our careers, and simple things like getting ready for work in the morning gave them a whole new meaning as we tried to adapt to the new strange world we lived in.

One sure thing that was highlighted is the fact that we all need to make a conscious effort to reduce plastic waste and to start caring more for the world we live in. The effect that plastic is having on wild and ocean life is unsustainable and the damage, we as humans, are causing will soon be irreversible if we don’t act now. Every year, almost 10 million metric tons of plastic wind up in the ocean, where it is consumed by marine animals, harming them and creating an eyesore to these beautiful natural environments.

Working towards zero waste living can be simple just like soap. Swapping to a bar of soap is one of the easiest eco-friendly changes that can be made, and can fundamentally change our lives and most importantly, the environment for future generations. How many plastic shower gel, shampoo & conditioner bottles end up in landfills every year? This small swap to the bar is not only eco-friendly, but your skin will also benefit too. All soaps made by Soapy Chameleon are handmade with natural oils and butters, 100% essential oils, and no harsh chemical additives or preservatives - your skin will love this nourishing goodness!

Soapy Chameleon is not only plastic-free, we use minimal packaging and try to recycle and reuse as much packaging as possible. We use ethical suppliers who care for the environment just as much as we do.

Let’s start changing the world, one bar at a time!
